5 Travel videos to feed your Wanderlust fever

Got the Wanderlust fever? Yes? Good, me too! I’m always dreamin’ of some wonderful place I could be exploring instead of my 9 to 5 job, three late night shifts, and whatever work comes my way. That’s when I find myself window-online-shopping for airline tickets to anywhere, reading tales of travel bloggers (jealousy meter runs high in this area), or watching travel videos on Vimeo. I’m going to share five of my favorite travel videos.

The art of making travel videos like these is beyond me. I love photography, but these artists / travelers / cinematographer have captured world’s beauty in such a way that you cannot look away.

1.Made in Iceland by Klara Harden

How beautiful is this short documentary?! Are you ready to hike around Iceland on your own after watching this? Yes? ME TOO! No? Worry not! There are plenty of tour agency offering a week (or more) long hiking trips around Iceland.

2. Watchtower of Turkey by Leonardo Dalessandri

Once upon a college spring break, I was lucky enough to visit Kusadasi, Turkey. It is a beautiful and historic landmark that we were able to wander around for hours. Years later, an overnight layover gave me a chance to explore Istanbul for five-ish hours, which obviously was not enough, and I cannot wait to go back to Istanbul sometime in near future. Anyway, this video is TOO short for my taste. Everything about it is perfection, including the background music (which I obsessively listened to for an entire week). Packing my bags for Turkey, how about you?!

3. Loving Lanka by Sebastian Linda

What a wonderfully edited video. If you are backpacking around Asia, do not miss out on Sri Lanka.

4. Make it Count by Casey Neistat

Although, this is a video made for Nike’s new fit gear, I think Casey created something wonderful.

5. Adventure is Calling II by Shane Black

This time-lapse video of stunning landscapes around the US & Canada left me mesmerized. Adventure is calling, and I must go!

I hope you enjoyed these as much I do. They are my go-to videos when I’ve got the travel blues.
