Grammar nazis, beware…

Before you read any of my posts (apologies if you have already) be prepared to cringe at my grammatical errors…which might be a lot. I have a perfectly good sorry ass excuse, for my poor writing. I hate writing. There. Not a good start for wannabe blogger, eh? Maybe hate is a strong word. Let’s go with ‘dislike’ writing. Much better. Why do I dislike writing? Simple, I’m no good at it. My brain is capable of producing complex and brilliant thoughts but putting those thoughts into words is a nightmare. Blogging will be a way for me to turn that nightmare into something good. So be patient and read on…

I was encouraged to blog when my bestie, Jade, and I left for Italy back in 2010. Thanks to our amazing friend, Matt, we had a bestie travel blog. Neither of us bothered with it, especially me. I’ve never been good at writing. It sucks. I don’t think I’ve mentioned that…or have I? 🙂 But hey, I am giving it my best shot right meow.

I know, I know…I need to stop with corny jokes. You aren’t laughing but if you are, heyyyyy I owe you beer. Maybe.

Last year, I went on a two-week adventure with mum and little brother. I had to do a bit of research on what to do, where to go, where not to go, etc. Aside from my Lonely Planet guidebooks, travel blogs were my primary source for personal tips and advice. It was after this trip; I decided to give blogging another try.

I started writing about my previous trips, but it didn’t feel right to write about it many years later, I got too lazy. It is a big commitment, and I simply did not have time to write. I know, I know. However, after a YEAR of working on this blog… I am finally making progress on writing about my travels from last year. Well, sort of. Not really. It’s never too late to start a blog. So here I am. Writing. Well, attempting to anyway.

Maybe, just maybe, in time, my writing will be wittier, funnier, and grammar nazi friendly.

P.S. I would love some feedback on my posts!
